Squeeze stile. Stone split to create squeeze stile at Monument garden Chelsea Flower Show designed by Max Parker-Smith

Chelsea Flower Show Build

After meeting with Max Parker-Smith at the stone yard and assessing the stone for the Monument Garden at the 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show we identified a large piece of stone that I could split to form a 'squeeze stile' feature to be placed at the foot of the Monument.

We used 'plugs and feathers' to open the stone along a given line.

Great to see that construction techniques used to create the great pyramids of Egypt still works today !
